No. They are MTA employees, why would use nypd guidelines?

They issue TAB summonses, I think they only care to generate revenue and not lose it by OT given to its enforcement officers on collars/ROW.

Theyhav anti graffiti squad within that unit as well.
Thanks for the info. What is their official title and do they carry on/off?

PS: I find it interesting the MTA has the resources to create and employ another department and fund it with hefty salaries whilst ignoring to process paying test-takers in existing departments.

they hire Lt's,Sgt's,and DT's patrolman need not apply. It might seem odd but thats the way they work. Imagine that a Lt. writing tags something he wanted no part of while on the job. LOL

With the new bus system you pay on sidewalk and bring your receipt onto the bus with you. Nobody checks your receipt as you go on the bus, but they do random sweeps to make sure everybody paid. No receipt, no ride and a summons.

Not sure of their status, probably special patrolmen/peace officers.

    Transit Enforcement Agent?

    http://articles.nydailynews.com/2010...sit-inspectors

Transit Inspectors/Agents? Uniformed similarly to the collection agents. I spotted 3 of them checking customer receipts on the bx12 select bus route. They did have cuffs, didnt see if they carried. Who are they and what is their status?
