Good afternoon, I have a question for those who live and work upstate. I currently live in the city. Pending I pass the academy I would be moving upstate. I was told to look into the districts to live pending I pass. Does anyone have any recommendations? I found district 8 is the worst for crime and education. The other districts seem alright any input would be appreciated.
I also would like to know if I can wear a watch during my runs to track my time. Thank you to those who respond back to me in advance.

Pros are it’s 9-5 M-F for most officers and safer as far as Courthouses are a somewhat controlled environment. Main con is the pension sucks. New hires are Tier 6 and have to work to age 63. Maybe now that Cuomigula is gone maybe that will be fixed in the future, but that’s where it stands right now.Originally posted by ThisGuyDrew View PostCan someone list the pro's and cons for taking this job over NYPD position? Getting that back would be nice. hope the new lady in charge give the retirement court officers deserve, even 25 and out is better than that current atrocious retirement plan.Last edited by soon2retire; 09-02-2021, 07:25 AM.RETIRED 9-16-10
