Well that was before the pandemic. Who knows what the case is now.

I remember how excited I was to take this test last year, signed up the same day it open and then COVID happened. Now almost a year later it seems like the new test is a myth now haha.

Anyone know when the Court Officer exam will come out. DCAS is starting up the academy for special officers in may. I tired emailing the NYS Court Office via email and still no word from them.

I was told no decision/discussion has been made on what the next steps will be. Hiring freeze still in effect.

I wouldn't be waiting by the mailbox. The ink isn't even dry on the budget and I think that there is still a freeze on hiring. I would be surprised if anything happened before the fall.

I'm probably gonna still take it when it does come out but I'm possibly getting lined up for an extremely cushy civil service job so i don't even know if i would process for it if i scored high.

Apparently all judges and court staff will be back May 24th...wonder if this is a good thing for those hoping to potentially be hired. One would hope so.
