You people asking when this, when that... They just canvassed over 10k people. Things haven't actually started yet. Sit back and be patient because it's going to be a while. No one has concrete answers to anything about how far they'll go down the list, if and when they'll send out more canvass emails, if you have a shot at another class, etc. When it's your time you'll know because you got the canvass email just like everyone else.

james......The point is that asking those questions invites answers full of misinformation. This is a long process and no poster here, myself included, as any idea about numbers or times. Asking over and over will only add to the frustration level. I know how the process works to set up a class after all the screening is completed, and that process alone takes time.

I spoke to the nys pension system, and if your in a state or local city pension system your time can be transferred over and it's on the Front End and you keep your tier.

You would have to transfer your time over to state and keep your tier and they are 30 years 55 or 62 for max pension. Your time counts in front so you wouldn't have to contribute to the pension system because you did already.
Example is I'm tier 4 Sanitation with 17 years served and I'm 35 so I would have to do 20 years to make 55 years old and I would get 37 years credit towards my pension.

I myself am far from fit BUT I did take the JST NYPD test and was able to pass all parts of it. I don't understand why PAT for NYS Court officer is asking for push up and sit ups. These should be mortified for female vs male. This test is more difficult than the JST (being that not everyone can do push ups me especially) They should have practice test for all parts of the PAT just like NYPD JST hasLast edited by Srz; 05-04-2016, 09:24 PM.

Over 40k people passed the written exam, there's maybe a few hundred people who will get hired off your list, they can be very very selective. If you can't do push-ups then you can't pass the academy. Don't come into this process thinking it's any easier than any other job, the dangers are there.
