I wouldn't be waiting by the mailbox. The ink isn't even dry on the budget and I think that there is still a freeze on hiring. I would be surprised if anything happened before the fall.

Hey guys...just figured I'd chime in. As of yesterday, word is that there will be a statewide court officer exam this year.

Really? That’s awesome hopefully it really does happens. So that means for us who signed up last year we getting notified soon?

I was told no decision/discussion has been made on what the next steps will be. Hiring freeze still in effect.

Anyone know when the Court Officer exam will come out. DCAS is starting up the academy for special officers in may. I tired emailing the NYS Court Office via email and still no word from them.

Im downstate every building has been on a different schedule however my building has been on rotating shifts since the pandemic started specifically 1 week on 1 week off. No one has been laid off and we are not using our own time during our off weeks.
