Also, how is the exam, is it difficult, or easy like NYPD exam?

    Please let me know, thanks.

All the positions right now are in DC, so you would have to work there first then put in for a transfer.

Yes there are two sessions and am and a pm. And unlike NY civil service, they are very organized and squared away. They will start on time, you must come dressed at least in business casual and the test is hard. Not extremely hard but you cannot skim through it. Its a great job one of my former bosses was in NY and he loved every day of it.

Remember the first part of the test is a speed test you have to answer 50 questions in 8 minutes answer as many correctly as you can. Brush up on your math and reading you should be fine.

What kind of math? adding and subtracting with some multiplying?

I have a link on this thread with some examples. The first part is the speed test my advice to you is DONT READ THE DIRECTIONS this takes way to much time and you should know what to do before hand as for the math its pretty basic with some percentages. Its just harder than most LE im a fairly intelligent person bachelors in Business with a 3.7 gpa I got a 90 on NYPD 96 on Enviormental 92 on NCPD 90 on NCCD 90 NYSC and a 75 on USSP. Happy to say that 75 landed me my dream career!!!

From what I recall 50 speed questions, 30 reading 20 math and then a 65 question psychological.

Are the math questions multiple choices or do you have to show work?
Also, do you think you can give us an example of what kind of questions their are regarding the math. I'm not going to lie, i SUCK at math, but basic math i actually can do.
