FBI Police officer Exam in NY

Hey Guys,

Im scheduled to take the FBI police officer exam on sat 11/7/09. I just wanted to know if anyone has taken this exam before? what should I expect?

also they say if I pass the exam Ill be interviewed right then and there does anyone know what the interview is like? what questions they ask?

last im 7 pound overweight do they way you right then and there? or do they give you a break?(Im on a strict diet so hopefully i lose it a.s.a.p)

The test and interview does not require any LE experience. The written/video test is common sense. The best way to prepare for it is to get plenty of sleep and eat breakfast before showing up because it's a long day. Do not get yourself worked up over taking the test and you should do fine.

Get a good writing pen because you will be doing lots of writing during the video portion from what I have heard.

It is an ALL DAY thing. Panel interview and all.

Are you willing to move to the DC, Virginia, Maryland area if offered the position? That is where you most likely will end up since the NYCFO tends to fill up pretty fast. Not saying you dont have a chance because we all know anything is possible, it's just food for thought. Nevertheless, you know that I have your back regardless duckster...

Very true, the NYFO is very small compared to the others. Only a handfull of officers work here.

It is a very boring job here in NYC.

Its not much of a stepping stone to be honest with you(in NYC). You do not make any real arrests, if you do you call NYPD. You do not issue summonses or any other LE related things.

Not knocking it but it appears to me that you are a type A personality.

Hey ducky... I am willing to move.. I can use a change of scenario I have to grow up 1 day!!=)
