Getting disqualified for medical history?

Hypothetically speaking, if someone had back or neck surgery would that get them medically disqualified during the hiring process? I know they ask you for your full medical history and what injuries you have had but I wasn't sure exactly what they were looking for that could raise a red flag

It will depend on the nature of the injury, the type of sugery, the degree of recovery, etc.

It would be kind of a blanket if they did, because you could be completely fine. That is why they have a medical during the hiring process.
