Just curious, Has anyone been part of the SCPD Auxiliary? If so how was it?what do you mainly do? i know theirs two precincts that are looking for some people. I wish i was 21 (SOOOOOON!!!)

I don't know much about their Auxiliary unit in general, but most of the time Auxiliary units do parades, certain details, redirecting traffic at accidents, and so forth. Unlike Nassau's Auxiliary, Suffolk Auxiliary Officers have the option of carrying a firearm if they pass a psych and firearms course.

Nassau Auxiliaries do not carry firearms, but Long Beach Police Aux. in Nassau do, and have for many years .Comment
