So, what name brand does the NY detective bureau like? I am in the process of buying some and I was wondering what is the best priced...comfort..ect...for work on the job.

    Thanks

I agree. I always knew that they tailored the suits to fit equipment, but very interesting to hear some of the insight behind the whole thing.

Met this guy recently, didn't buy a suit but he put on a good show and has reasonable prices for cops.

“A suit and tie is our uniform,” said Joel E. Potter, 64, a veteran homicide detective who retired in 2000. “A lot of times you’re set up in a car at 3 in the morning, or there are two dead bodies on the sidewalk. And when you step out of the car, you look like a professional. They know the man is there. They know the suits mean business.”

I love this section of that article.

Does anyone know where his shop is? I am actually looking for a suit for work.
