Got mine at the Nike outlet store, all white and after the JST I only had my running shoes which were not all white and never got in trouble for it. Oddly enough I did get yelled at for the small nike swoosh on my socks once.

Outlets are the best for sneakers, there are always good ones on clearance. The Reebok outlet has buy a pair get a pair half off, or buy 2 get the third free. Nike Outlet I'm sure is similar.

just buy a pair of white or grey running shoes... they never check for the pair of "cross trainers"

just buy a mostly solid color sneaker and whatever feels most comfortable to you.

Dont worry about cross trainers, just get running shoes that are mainly white. Throughout the academy my sneakers were white and red
