Hi I am from IL and I am coming in for the October exam on the 22nd. I was just wondering if someone could PM the address or respond here with where the written exam is held at? The receipt I have does not list the address of the test site but only the site to pick up an admission card.

And from the sound of it, this test wouldn't see an Academy date until maybe Jan 2012? Is that a good guess.

Also if I score well on the exam, how long after the written would it be until I could do the QUEST program.

Call and ask your location, it is given at multiple sites.

2012 seems right, maybe Jul 2011, but prob not. Depends how economy goes.

No idea on QUEST, wasn't eligible.

So how did people do with this exam? What did you think of it? I know we wont hear anything for some time now but I was just wondering.

I took this test and thought it was very straight forward. Even though I thought it was easy, I still took my time, made sure I marked everything the way I wanted to and there weren't that many people left around me when I was done. I've got to admit, I was a little nervous when I saw someone get up after a half hour or 45 minutes and hand their paper in and walk out, and I wasn't even half way through. I would love to know how that person did?
I did well on the test: 82 out of 85 + 96.47 + 5 for question 90 living in the five boros +101.47. I'm sure some people did better but I hope that puts me near the top o the list.
( I was a little nervous on #90. What happened to questions 86,87,88,89? did I miss something? I thought they were trying to pull a jedi mind trick on me. LOL).

Yes I thought the same thing. The exam seemed pretty straight forward that during the whole test I was wondering in my mind "I'm I actually getting this questions right? Cuz it seems to obvious." I can remember a few where I had to stop and rethink the question cuz they tried to word it in a way that it would throw you off.

I took my time too. I didn't care who left first then me. I was going to make sure I read the question and got the answer right. 45 MINUTES AND THEY WERE DONE!!!!!!!!! That seems impossible to even get a good score on...I don't think that person read the questions right. Cool I didn't know you get 5 extra points for question 90!!! That means I got a 98%!!! If that is the case the highest you can get is an 105% so you and I are pretty up there...look forward to working wit ya.

LOL @ da Jedi mind trick...You thought they were trying to rob you from 4 more questions worth of points. Good luck man and hopefully things turn around and we can get somewhere soon.

same here. there were about 3 or 4 people around me that got up after about 30-45min and i wasnt even halfway done. i just shook my head and continued. i would deff like to c their results, just not as much as i wanna c my list #.

Yea I took it at some High School. All I remember is I got off the 5 train at 14 street walked a couple blocks.

how did you get your score already? did you copy your answers onto that long pink/yellow sheet? and if you did where do you check the answers?

Whats up guys, I flew out from California for that test! That must have been the coldest week in NYC. Raining, it was in the low 40's. Right after I left it jumped up to the 60's!

I'm happy I found this thread. I was thinking the same thing as all of you about that person who had got up after 45 minutes! I didn't have my watch on so I started worrying I was running out of time!

Unfortunately I did not copy my answers so I can't check my results. Do any of you know how long until you can call in to find out your results, or when they mail you?

There was probably about 10 people left when I finished. I wonder if any of us saw each other in there. I was sitting in the 2nd row on the right when facing towards the chalk board, about 3 seats from the front. (sounds like one of the questions on the test, ha)

It's probably going to be about 3-6 months before we get anything in the mail that has our test results and list number

i walked out with only 3 ppl left in the room i was in and asked the proctor 4 time remaining and she replied "not my job to let u know that buddy!" *****!!!. i called the # listed in the link http://www.nyc.gov/html/nypd/html/ca...tion_faq.shtml a few days ago...a woman on the other end of the line explained to me that we wont even be in the system for about the next 4 months and i should expect my list # in the mail in about 6 months. and btw theforce, there were 3 floors worth of rooms filled with ppl taking the test which was given over a period of a few days, 2x a day,so ur seat or row # wont really help.
