  • Old ticket disposition?

I am trying to get an disposition on an old ticket I received a bit more than 3 years ago. I called the kings county court but they have no record of it under my name or drivers liscense. What do I do? DMV only has parking tickets I think. I can't reach my BI either yet. Where did you guys get yours from?

Do we have to list every violation since the start of driving or is there a cut off period? I've been driving for 9 years and received speeding tickets in my teens. I got into a small accident in the beginning of 06 and few parking tickets that have been all paid off. I have no points. On top of that, I don't even remember that far.

Well they really going 2 want 2 know about that Accident so get that info 4 them 2 make sure u have no claims against u. Go 2 the pct that u made the report (bring $10 money order and the name of the driver (Last name 1st and the date M/D/Y). but call first so they can look it up.

If the mover was more then 5 years ago u should be good ( but talk 2 ur BI about that and take that safety class)

I called the sgt and she said my ni is on vacation. Also said not to worry about disposition because drivers abstract will show it was paid since its been more than 3 years

This is probably a stupid question, but does your abstract only show violations or accidents too? Does it show incidents from other states?

                  Only violations that weren't dismissed.
                  No accidents.

I've got movers from FL in '05 & not one of them came up on my abstract print out that I received from the DMV here in the city.
I just wrote them on my application booklet and my BI didn't really make me get any documents on them.

Accidents can show up on a DMV abstract if there's a judgement involved....so can judgements for failing to pay child support......they can result in suspensions.......no matter where your mover was heard if there's a suspension involved it will be on your abstract

                          I forgot that part.
That may be the only way a mover from out-of-state appears on your abstract.

And a child support judgement/suspension will not come off your record until you satisfy CSEU that the judgement will be satisfied.

                              Driving

In my opinion you should report all tickets, accidents in your disclosure, no matter what the disposition of the ticket (NG or G or dismissed).
I reported an accident way out of state in 2005 and a fishing ticket I got out of state just to make SURE I was in compliance ! Not looking for a pat on the back here, but I don't want to have to worry that some efficient Investigator will call me out in class for non-disclosure of something stupid !
There is no polygraph test, sort of like marking your ball on the golf green, you know what you did, your playing partners expect you to be honorable. If they happen to find you cheating, it's worse than if you just say, whoops I mismarked the ball, have to charge myself 2 strokes.
If you have to make decisions now on honorable or dishonable reporting what can we and you expect if you make it thru ....
