But NYSP's starting pay is $15k more than NYPD. Doesn't matter where you top out if you can't afford to stay on the job while you work towards top pay.

great news, especially since i plan on going into the january class. and as others said, hopefully this will change the hiring process and make it a bit more difficult to get on the job. people will start taking it more serious.

He is right it is 76 k , dont get confused and get dissappointed ....Not bad raise though... Congrats you deserve it !

              $

....." our total monetary compensation package to over $94,000.", PBA President Lynch.

Few if any of the current posters here will have to worry about that $ number at this time. Keep a good thought.

So is it 76 or 91????? How much cash money will officers actually see at top pay?? This still isnt in black and white for me.

76k at top pay. Thats the top base, once you hit that step you do not see anymore raises until a new contract is made

The 91k is the 76k base with holiday pay, uniform allowance, night diff, long gev added in.

officers will see 91k after all is added in, but the 91k isnt yearly salary. Basically your checks will be based on 76k but at the end of the year they cut you checks for holiday pay, uniform allowance etc.

so if you compare that to lets say nassau pd, nassau tops out around 117K. Is the 117k number for nassau with everything included (night diff, uniform, etc.) Or would nassau be around 130k plus with all the "extras" included??

No nassau is 117k with nothing included

A top pay Nassau PO on nights will make 140k with no OT.
