  • Making a good impression on supervisors?

Good afternoon guys I have a quick question. This past week was my first week on the job out of the academy. Yesterday my Sgt. called me in to see if i wanted some hours of overtime for comp time. I did nit answer his call since I saw it late. The voicemail said call me back if you want it, so I never called back. A few of my classmates went in for OT. I need my 2 days off to get school work done as I take online courses. Should I feel guilty and will not taking the OT get me passed up on future opportunities? Im thinking about this a lot.

You not only didn’t want the OT, but weren’t even courteous enough to return my call, thanking me for the offer,.....you’re off my OT list, lol; seriously.

New Guy Rule #32: Always call the supervisor back asap, regardless what they said.
Convictions, in the end, they can be dangerous. But a world without them is just kind of an awful, gray, amorphous mass.
