Question about entrance exam scoring

not sure where to post this.
how do they score the personality part of the entrance exam into the police academy? there was 45 total math and verbal questions and then there was 45 separate personality question.(ex:I am a determined person. or Most people blow things out of proportion. answer either:very strongly agree, agree, not sure, disagree, strongly disagree)
how many points are given to the personality questions and can it ruin your chances of getting in?

If you think like a cop and mark the PDQ section truthfully, you will not do well. There are many classes and books that explain the test in great detail. Sadly, most people must answer the way the test requires instead of being truthful.

what do you mean?
(answer:very strongly agree, agree, not sure, disagree, strongly disagree)
some questions were:
1.Are you a determined person?
2.Are you a committed person?
3.Its okay to smoke a joint to relieve stress?
4.Most people are stressed out by work?

How would you answer those?
I said:
1 and 2. I strongly agree.
3.Strongly disagree
4.this was a tough one but i put disagree.

The exam is based on responses from several hundred LEO's that were polled years ago. Then the average of the answers was taken and that is the most correct answer. There is no wrong answer for those questions, but some receive a higher point than others.
