I would assume it'd be a case by case basis? For the legal stuff... I'm sure there's something to be said about integrity, etc etc

Yes, it is possible. I just depends on the department, the character of the applicant and the nature of the work engaged in. I remember back in the 1970s, Santa Monica PD hired an applicant who had previously been a nude dancer. That was pretty progressive, even back then.

Porn star in the academy after mine. Nuked by her agency for moral reasons when they found out.

How are you going to be able to work when the video of you having sex is all over the Internet? Really. Look at it from an Admin viewpoint...

If LVMPD hired Dan Bilzerian after admitting to using cocaine and hookers, I doubt the OP would have an issue.

Maybe LVMPD's Reserve Officer standards are lower. <shrug>

That's up to the agency. Using is different than starring, and you can bet that the Officer will be outed all over social media.

        And it goes to Brady.

Then again, with today's lack of any moral standards, you get the bops you hire. So all these PoS cops that keep ripping off dead people, beating, raping in custodies, I'm sure they all had perfectly clean BIs and no flags or history. BS.

Lower your hiring standards and this is the result...

I wouldn't say an escort is completely legal as we all know that the word "escort" is just a name for a prostitute. Even though an escort service is a legal service, we all know they do sex acts with numerous men for money. I wouldn't want an ex prostitute as a partner on the job knowing that she has low morals to do something like that.

I have always wondered....what is the MORAL difference between a man who pays an escort to get it on after a night out, and a man who pays for dinner, and a movie, in an attempt to do the very same thing? Are they both just as immoral? If so, we would have to fire 90% of every type of Public Service officer that exists.

I know in NYC there was a male firefighter who was a gay porn star. And he was hired lol. The Newspaper went crazy. But they couldn’t discriminate against him for it. Because pornography is legal. I would say it is case by case.
