Well in New York the cops stopped enforcing discretionary violations for a couple of weeks. It caused a little uproar and probably a lot of concern on the part of these dopey politicians and local businesses because since then there's been a lot less of the local politicians with their hands up and difficulty breathing. As a matter of fact the police chief would probably worry about keeping her job. Even defense attorneys get worried when business dries up.
