This morning I was watching the local news broadcast and a political ad came on for Governor Daytons re-election. While it certainly is within the Minneapolis Police Federation right to endorse Governor Dayton, I am somewhat surprised that the City Of Minneapolis allows Minneapolis Police officers to appear in the ad wearing their uniforms. I know that if I had done that in my uniform, I would have some explaining to do. Anyway, what Minnesota agencies currently do this? Could the Saint Paul Police Federation appear on TV in uniform and endorse a candidate? What about the State Patrol Troopers Association?
