What can I bring in to entertain myself? Laptop? Mp3 player?

Ummmmmmm.....yeah, I would totally go with the laptop. Nothin makes a boring trial go by quick like internet porn!! Can't think of a judge who would mind

I was on Jury Duty over the summer. Definatly bring a laptop, we had wireless internet available, although we could not bring it into the courtroom.

Be ready for A LOT of waiting.

I'm on it right now I got called in Mon. with 3 hours sleep after work. Sat around for an hour, finally made it to voir dire and was questioned by the judge and defense attorney for a good 10-15 minutes because I'm a cop, and I also know all the Officers involved in the case. It's like really, did we need to go through all this to excuse me?

Yeah I interviewed there. They had 300+ apply. They are interviewing 230. After the initial interview they are cutting it to 20 for the second interview. This info is directly from the Sgt that was in my interview.
