As soon as the democrates get out of office and the state turns Republican again. Democrates rather spend the money on a new musuem or some other bull SH**t, rather then spend the money on public safety.

That's almost exactly what I was thinking.

When placing blame on a political party, note should be taken that niether of the parties are able to make any progress with a Democratic Governor and a Republican-controlled Senate. Democrats are not against law enforcement, and to even think that is foolish. That would be like saying that Republicans are against "education" or something vast and important. Having said that, Granholm is really showing how poor of a politician she is by not being able to work with Republicans on the budget. We are seeing some of the same things on a Federal level with the President and the Democrat-controlled Legislature. However, he is still getting his initiatives passed because of the willingness (albeit slight) of Democrats to compromise and his steadfast leadership qualities. It's unfortunate that Michigan is in the position that it is, but there are reasons beyond Granholm that we are here. I, for one, believe that things will start to swing back towards prosperity in a couple years, especially if Iraq can get moving in the right direction and get out of the spotlight and then we can focus on America.

Most likely true. Unfortunately, history shows that when we have a democrat for governor and our economy has a recession public services are among the first to take a hit. Democrats are a fun bunch, they preach about caring for the little people yet the little people are who they target first. The very people they claim as constituents are generally poor and uneducated, who just so happen to be the largest segment of crime victims. You know, the ones most effected by a dip in LE strength.

On another note, Mr. Granholm's company has done very well on government contracts since she has been in office. Not everyone has to feel the pinch I guess.

Democrates usually do not support LE and General Jenny is one of them. When a democrate is in office the economy sucks, as with right now. What is the first thing that will be cut to save money when the economy sucks and deomcrates are in control? LE and if you ask me that is bull s**t. She would rather spend more money on those who do not contribute, welfare POS, to the state then those who would give their lives for a state. IF you agree that building a new museum is more important then providing LE for the people then feel free to vote democrate. I'll keep my votes with LE jobs in mind.

I got hired on a Cops Fast Grant. Clinton, the dem of all dems was the President. That was a very supportive, pro LE President.

As history shows it, Dems are not very supportive of LE. Bill Clinton was the odd one. I loved him as a prez. Heck I would like to go out drinking with him and hear some stories. But w/ Jenny in office she is not going to help things for LE or for the MI economy in general. She is a joke, she is the type of Dem that I do not like at all. "Lets cut LE and build a new art gallery" I cannot stand her at all. I did not vote for her and nobody I work with or know did. So I'm gonna guess the people who voted for her are the same people who voted for the GANGSTER who runs Detroit. I was also upset when the State FOP showed their support for her. I know everybody at Lodge 112-Macomb was upset, we even sent a letter to the State FOP asking why and telling then how mad we were. She has done nothing for LE at all and will not do anything. I say quit sending her on all those trips overseas and to out of state meetings and spend that money here, in this state, for the people. I bet she would hate to have her bodyguards cuts because of MSP budget being cut. Ooh, wait I do not see that happening, she needs her protection, but the people of MI do not? I just do not understand her at all.
