  • Boston Area Reserves

    Greetings,

It has come to my attention that I may be forced to leave my job as a Deputy here in Indiana due to my Fiance (and sugar momma) likely getting a transfer to her company's Boston office.

Long story short, I would be switching careers but would like to 'remain in the game' a bit. Is there anywhere that somebody could recommend a department with a good reserve program?

    Thanks and stay safe,
    sault

Understand that police hiring in Mass is a very different animal than most of the rest of the country. That also goes for Reserve Officers. It would be helpful to know where about's in the state you'll be moving to, if you want to shoot me a pm I maybe able to give you some ideas. Keep in mind that a Reserve in Mass is generally a fully sworn officer who works in a part time capacity although roles will vary with each agency that use reserves. Officers that volunteer their time and may or may not be sworn are often called auxiliary officers. So just be aware of the difference.
