  • List of depts w/ openings

Is there any website that has a list of MA depts with openings? I can't find any.

No not really..the closest thing would be going to the Mass.gov web page under the employment section and searching there...it will give you a list of list of police jobs with different state agencies such as schools and hospitals ie DMH, DPH and board of Higher Education ie State College Police....If you want to find jobs with more traditional agencies ie City, Town Police, and Transit Police then check for a State wide Police exam annoucement...in Civil Service area of the page...there should be one coming up this spring...but remember that Veterans Status, Residency, and if an agency has money to hire all play a huge roll and when and if you get selected for a job. As far as the non Civil Service departments go...they will sometimes post in a local or regional newpaper..but they can and do make their own hiring rules...Just remember that Mass is one of if not the hardest state to become a police officer in...Good luck..

Going too far is half the pleasure of not getting anywhere

Follow that link L-1 posted...many non-CS postings appear there frequently.

Just a heads up--if you come to MA, you'll have to change ur avatar.
