Does Baltimore County have take home cars

Just like the title asked, do they issue take home cars even if you don't live in the county?

If you make it on to a special team, or are a 'higher up', I think you do. But street level guys do not get take homes. Dont quote me on that 100%, but my brother lives next door to a BCPD 'SWAT' officer who drives an unmarked take-home. And I know the chief has a take home because I've seen him blow by my house from time to time.

That's correct some special units will get take home cars (on call detectives, tac, supervisors of det. units, etc) and captain and higher all get take home cars.

What kind of department wouldnt let the big guy have a take home car?

Take homes are also standard in Southern Maryland @ Charles County Sheriff's office, St. Mary's County Sheriff's and Calvert County Sheriff.
