Any Montgomery County officers? If so, what are grounds for automatic DQ's within the dept's hiring process?

they will automatic DQ u if u have done any drugs after the age of 21. if u have done cocaine, crack, mushrooms, pcp, lsd. pretty much any drug outside of weed. but be warned u must be 3 years removed from the last time u did weed. if u have any more than one bad work reference. if u have bad credit they will temp. DQ u, but they give u a deadline to get it fixed or they will close your case out.

Great post. What about criminal behavior for DQ? I know the original poster asked a hypothetical in another part of the website the other day. That info could be usefull aswell.

As far as criminal behavior it all depends on what it was. This is true with all le agencies. Minor misdameanors probably won't hurt u as long as u tell them up front. If u have felonies u should look into another career choice.

In the early steps of the process they will ask u about undetected crimes. This is a voluntary question. U can say u have never done any thing (but they r going to know u r probably lying because everybody has done something wrong). If u tell them what it is, when u go through the BI they will ask u to write and sign a statement about the incident.
