    Lebanon NH PD hiring

If you are interested in working for a Police Department in a growing city that is dedicated to constant improvement, please take a moment to read further.
The Lebanon Police Department offers a challenging patrol area with a resident population of approximately 13,000. During the daytime, the population increases to approximately 35,000 due to the local economic and social activity of the area. We cover this area with 35 sworn officers and a total Police Department staff of approximately 50 people. We are very active and enjoy the support of the residents of the City of Lebanon.
The Lebanon area offers the best of northern New England and is located adjacent to the crossroads of I-89 and I-91 with I-89 running through the middle of the City. Lebanon Police Officers can live in the City or within 45 minutes of the station.
Our Patrol Officers base pay for 2013 is $48,484 to $58,531 and are members of the New Hampshire State Retirement System, which permits retirement at age 50 or 25 years of service, whichever is later, for newly certified officers.
The City provides comprehensive equipment issue and replacement including ballistic vests, which have a regular replacement schedule. In order to maintain a professional appearance, the City provides cleaning for all uniforms, as well as replacing requested uniform parts, when they first show signs of wear.
Our patrol cars are very well equipped and maintained. Our cruisers are equipped with in car video systems. We use MDTs (Mobile Data Terminals) in the cruisers to write reports, check licenses and registrations, view suspect photos, and check for wanted and missing persons. We have Livescan, an automated finger print identification system. This system electronically scans fingerprints and gives immediate results for record and identity checks. We also provide our Officers with the best use of force options and tools needed to effectively handle complex situations.
We have several special assignments for Officers who have performed well ~ two full time Officers assigned to a Traffic Unit, K-9 Unit with two teams, full time SRO Officer assigned to the School District, Tactical/Containment Team, Field Training Officer Program, Accident Reconstruction Team and Firearms and Use of Force Instruction Programs. All patrol personnel maintain certification with police baton, OC spray, less lethal shotgun, pepperball projectile system, pistol, shotgun, and police semi-auto rifle with our own instructors maintaining these certifications internally.
Join a department on the move! Want to know more? Call Corporal Gerald Brown in the Training Division at (603) 448-1212
