I'm a Police Officer in Southern Nevada. My Grandfather, Lee Snyder, was the Chief of Police for the Clarinda Police Department in 1958-1960.
He had all of his old badges, but they were stolen in a burglary. I'm just curious to see if anybody has any links or ideas where I can go to research CPD's past Chiefs so I could maybe get some pictures, articles, or whatever else I can find. If I can get a good picture, I would like to make up a replica badge or something in remembrance.
I'll be in SW Iowa later this month, so if there are any hard copies of anything, I'll be able to research them in person and maybe get a better idea.
