Well, i got a conditional offer of employment and i may be going to the ILEA in January. So whats it like? what are the daily regiments? I hear its a lot of work, which i expect, but i hear its a hell of a lot of fun. Does it get easier as weeks progress, or is it easier in the beginning? Are the academics hard? So can some of you veterans give some advice as what to do/what not to do? Thanks!

Where did you get an offer at? Just wondering, as I am interested in getting a job out there and have apps in at some places. Would be interested to hear anything you have to say about the process and updates on your experinces at the acadamy later on. Congrats and good luck.

Everything went fine yesterday, I passed everything at least. Yeah it sucked running there because it was so dry. Everyone's throat was burning and coughing afterwards. There was 46 people signed up for the 208th class, but i think 4 or 5 didn't pass everything. I think they get a retest though. Class starts January 9th and I am really looking forward to it.

Scott,
They kind of ruined the nights. I graduated with the 205th in July of 05. They have put in a lot more night classes, and because of people doing stupid stuff on nights out they have ways of curtailing that behavior. I know when I graduated there was talk of adding even more night classes. I agree it was fun, but you have to realize you are always being watched. Overall, I make a lot of friends who I miss. So whereabouts in this fine state do you work?

I work up in the northeast corner right by the Wisconsin border. It's pretty quiet up here during the winter, but the summer season really hops with all the tourism. They don't call it God's country for nothing up here..

I looked on my schedule and there was maybe 6 or 7 night classes, so it shouldn't be too bad. What really sucks now is that i have 2 days until i have to be in johnston and i dont even have any of my uniform pants yet. I have 1 pair that another officer is letting me use. I hope they can last me a week.

Colaking,
The schedule will change as time goes by. You will get an updated schedule every Friday, I think. I know we got one every week for the next week. We started out with I think 10 night classes on the schedule before I went but that increased as we got into it. Let me know how its going as you go, and if the weather permits I might come out and run with your class. Good luck, the first couple weeks are the worst and it gets better after that.
