did a search and didn't come up with anything. Has anyone worked for the DNR in law enforcement? Just wondering how they are to work for.

#1 You won't get hired with out some type of wildlife/forestry/or similar degree

#2 Law Enforcement is a secondary job skill for the the DNR LE Bureau Officers (either Park Ranger or Conservation Officer postings). The main job is Conservation related

#3. There are, I believe , 97 sworn positions statewide which rarely come open except for a retirement

#4 99.9999% of the DNR officers are real outdoorsy type off duty (when they get time off) but hardly ever get to hunt/fish themselves because they have to work 20 hrs a day during season.
Since some people need to be told by notes in crayon .......Don't PM me with without prior permission. If you can't discuss the situation in the open forum ----it must not be that important

My new word for the day is FOCUS, when someone irritates you tell them to FOCUS

The Rangers and Conservation Officers I know are also responsible for up keep of their assigned area such as mowing the grass and general maintenance. As Iowa said, LE duties isn't a high priority in their job description even though they are certified LEO and must go through the academy.
