Just throwing this out there for discussion...

This is a department not too far from me with their own share of internal problems.

Saw that..........................I really know nothing about NPD since my last source left there over 20 yrs ago.

The couple people in that area that I know , who would know, I don't feel comfortable asking for several reasons
Since some people need to be told by notes in crayon .......Don't PM me with without prior permission. If you can't discuss the situation in the open forum ----it must not be that important

My new word for the day is FOCUS, when someone irritates you tell them to FOCUS

They have had some pretty impressive turnover in recent years, from what I have heard, and that was before this who thing came out.

The chief did a press release on their Facebook about the recent negative press. This department is no different than any other police department whom could possibly be consumed with internal problems. However, when a department offers low wages, lack of decent benefits, equipment, good working schedule, they become the training ground to hire/train new recruits. After graduation, those officers soon find themselves more marketable to outside agencies that preach the grass is greener on the other side. Many times departments with poor working conditions never find themselves running at full capacity. I cannot nor would comment if the staff is quitting over internal issues. Even if I knew someone, I don't care to know about their problems.

One thing that rubs me the wrong way is when officers feel the need to contact other agencies to find out personnel issues, even when it does not concern them. I actually had a department do this recently to one of my officers. It is all for gossip and put their 2 cents into a situation that does not concern them.
