  • LE Website

I was just hired by an IA agency after spending two yrs in WI agency. The ILEA is accepting my WI training. My question is does IA have a website setup that is solely for LE use? Similar to WI wilenet. On wilenet it provided case law, Supreme Court rulings, training information, driving records (ie suspensions, revocations, ect.) Pretty much anything LE related you could refer to this site and find your answer.

Iowa does not maintain any LEO only websites. You may find these helpful.

You can see a good portion of court history searching someone here
        http://www.iowacourts.state.ia.us/ES...TrialSimpFrame

Same website but the main page (links to supreme court decisions)
        http://www.iowacourts.gov/

This website can be used to search Iowa's statutes. I quick linked it to the Motor Vehicle Law. The search function is not very good but if you learn to use the navigation bar on the left you can find what you need most of the time.
        http://search.legis.state.ia.us/nxt/...fn=default.htm

Like I said those are available to anyone but they have been handy for myself.

By the way I heard there was a big football game in Wisconsin yesterday.
What have you done for the State of Iowa today?

Nebraska has NCJIS (Nebraska Crime Justice Information System). It is a one stop shop with all of the information you want and more. Iowa is working on theirs but I'm guessing it is a long way out with the recent budget cuts.

Thanks for the info. It was a fairly close game. I watched majority of it, fortunately I missed the worse part when Iowa came back.

I have heard stories that ILEA will de-certify you if you are a Badger fan after moving to Iowa.-----------------------It might be a rumor, but are you willing to take that chance.

a followup for Iowa Courts Online. You as LE can request access to the login portion of the site. PM me with your email and I will send you the form to send in. You have to get an okay from a boss to get it.

LOL! The key word is learn. I have no problem learning to love the hawks. It could be a good tool to use to build rapport with someone. But I'll still root for the Badgers.
