Ya I got screwed out of it..this time it's kinda my fault..long story but pokey has a new officer that Laurens sent thru...that should explain it..I shoulda been on the eats side by now!!

3 full time...everybody get's along pretty great for the most part. Pay is $32000 for cert guys. Free medical...we share a badge...ok kidding on that part...Glock 22c provided as well as a taser and vest and uniforms. If you have a duty belt..bring it.. 06Crown Vic and 02 impala the impala is used as a back up vehicle. Oh ya..an 05 ford truck

a lot of on-call time...Chief works mon-thurs 0600-1600 then fri 0600-1200.. the other two work Mon-tues 1600-0600 off wed-thurs 1200 fri-mon morning 0600 then off mon-tues work wed-thurs 1600-0600 then off fri sat sun...

Days you work you pick and chose when you go out..gotta live in the city limits. I get along great with the surrounding pd's and the so..except for the k9 dude...Hes's kinda odd

The City of Laurens is now accepting resumes for the position of Patrol Officer. Prospective candidates must be able to qualify to meet all the requirements prescribed by the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy and the City of Laurens. City conducts a Physical Agility Test and pre-employment drug screen. Results are not reported to Iowa Workforce. Applicants can e-mail the department for more information.
