Can Anyone Tell Me How Long The Hiring Process Takes For Indiana Doc. I Have A Interview On Thursday

  • #2
I've been with IDOC for about 3 years now. Their numbers are so bad that they will just about take anybody. The process is very quick. I will say that if you have any other job options available, I would strongly urge you to look at those positions.
I can't believe I do this for free!

So i was reading about the CO positions...and um ya. CO's never make enough money in my opinion. I make more money doing what I am doing now! I just think it's nuts! Now, if I could get a full-time job being a CO and keep my full-time job here, I would be set!

I used to work DOC and I didn't find it that bad. Sure it says 25K but you work 12 hour shift with means you get some OT on one week. If I remember right that adds up around 30K and you only work half a year. Plus, If you join a ERO team you get lots of OT training, at least at the facility I worked at, and their usually needing people too. For the 3 years I was a ERO member we had 5 of our team members leave for a LEO job including me. I would suggest it for a young person needing experience for a LEO job.
