Thanks for the heads up. My wife's best friend lives up there. Went to nearby Elkhart to test for their PD a couple weeks ago.

EDIT: Any chance the written test and PFT will be on the same date?
Almost a 3 hour drive for me.

It looks like they are planning on doing the written and the physical test on the same day. It looks like the the test will be someday the week of November 14th, but the actual day is still being confirmed. As long as the applications are postmarked by the 29th, you should be good if you live out of the area. Hope that helps.

If mailing the app should we attach a check?

Didn't see any way of paying on their website.

I was planning on just mailing a check with my application packet. Unless uediver tells me different.

Is the department sharing how many spots they are looking to fill?

I hope the testing doesn't fall on the same day as Columbus PD's testing (November 15th). Mailed my application packet Monday with a cashier's check for $25.

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you guys. As long as you sent the check with the app you should be good. If not, just contact Mishawaka HR for further instructions.

The testing will be November 19th starting at 0830. The physical test will follow after the written. Location in Mishawaka TBD. It looks like we are definitely going to hire a few from this process.

Hope that helps and again sorry for the delay.

Anyone have information about the written exam? I've never tested before in Indiana so I'm not sure what to expect.

Probably just some kind of standard policy entry aptitude exam. Only thing I'm not looking forward to is the drive up from Indy tomorrow morning Just read Mishawaka is getting another 5-8 inches of snow this evening. Should be an interesting trek.
