Here's a head's up for those of you in the southwest part of the state. We've got a schedule of some pretty good training. Here's the website:

October 8th - Understanding Missing Persons/Child Abductions - 2-sessions for same class 9a-12p and second class 1p-4p (Tell City time) at the Tell City PD. Instructor is Sgt. Chester Price of IMPD. Contact Lt./Det. Alan Malone 812-547-7068. $75.00 fee to non-members.
October 15th - Field Day Training at Huntingburg City PD - Active Shooter, Defensive Tactics & STOPS Training. Classes 8a-12p and 1p-5p. Contact Carie Dick 812-482-2255 or [email protected] . Non-members will be a $75.00 fee. Pre-registration by October 12th . Lunch will be brought in between sessions.
November 5th - Emotional Survival for Law Enforcement - At Jasper Community Arts Commission - 8a-12p or 1pm-5p. Two classes held, morning and afternoon session (same class). Presented by Dr. Kevin Gilmartin, Ph.D. $25.00 fee for non-members. *Class is open to law enforcement, jail staff, telecommunications officers, reserve officers. Register with Carie Dick 812-482-2255 or [email protected] .
November 12th - State Required – two sessions-same class- 9a-12p/1p-4p. at Tell City PD (Tell City time). Contact Lt./ Det. Alan Malone 812-547-7068 to register.

February 15th to 19th - Instructor Development Class - At Vincennes University Jasper Campus - Need at least five registered to have the class.
March 30th / April 1st at the Jasper Police Dept. Gun Range will conduct the 2010 Firearms Training - Competition matches (two sessions each day - AM and PM - lunch at noon only each day)
