  • RIP Officer Leslie Hulse

Please keep her family and her department in your prayers. She was always smiling and was just one of those people you are thankful to have known.

The two videos were done about a year ago.

She most recently served as a member of the Special Investigations Unit focusing on exposing and preventing Human Trafficking. She is preceded in death by her maternal grandmother and her paternal grandparents. Leslie also had a very large family of police officers and fire department personnel whose love and friendship gave her the strength to keep fighting and brought joy and comfort to Leslie and her family during the final stage of her illness. Leslie lived every day of her life with a smile on her face and in service to others. She never knew a stranger. She has touched many lives and will be missed by all. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the many nurses and doctors at Saint Vincent Oncology Center for their dedication to Leslie's treatment and care during her battle against breast cancer. RIP Sister Leslie. Thank you Terelk for posting these powerful videos. Watching them and hearing Leslie NOT being mad at God for having cancer and wanting to do His will even in the face of death, only makes me want a closer walk with my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Sincere admiration for your strength and courage. Godspeed my sister, may you rest in peace.
This profession is not for people looking for positive reinforcement from the public. Very often it can be a thankless job and you can't desire accolades, because those are not usually forthcoming. Just do your job to the best of your ability and live with the decisions you've made.
