So is the "final offer" based on passing this last physical fitness test? Or do you get the start date and just go to the fitness test?

Wish they would let us in on this kind of information. Us out of towners have a lot to do in a short amount of time if we are selected.

My husband is an applicant in the 6th process, he's not much for on-line social networks, so I figured I'd kind of "introduce him." He just went down for his polygraph last Thurs and is down for his med/psych today, so it seems they are running a bit behind the "schedule." Also, thought I'd tell everyone to keep an eye out on the mail today! He got a letter today about his Interim Phys. Test. It's on 5/16 at 9am. Also, looks like they are still sticking to the June 15th start date as of now.

Ra1nMak3R, sounds to me like if you pass the interim phys. test your chances are pretty good as the letter states that passing will help you determine if you should seperate from your current employer. Noticed you've applied to SB, we're from that area.

Ah. Welcome to the forums and thanks for the update. I'm surprised his med/psych is this week! I thought they were all completed by now. It does seem like they are running a bit behind schedule, but that can happen.

If you're in the South Bend Area maybe your husband would be interested in working out together. A running partner is always welcome and since we might be going to the academy together it'll be good to get to know each other!

Best of luck to your husband and the rest of the applicants on these forums. Hopefully we'll be getting the letter we've been waiting for.

EDIT: I wonder if everyone left in the process goes to this part and then they choose who they want or if people are receiving the "We regret to inform you" along with "Come to the Fitness Exam" letters.


If anyone gets a "no thanks" letter lets hear it. Clarify the process a bit.

I haven't gotten mine yet, but that comes as no surprise to me since I live in a very rural area and usually one of the last ones to get it.

I am like you Ra1nMak3R, I am wanting to know where we stand. If everyone is getting a letter to attend the interim pt test and then make the final cuts after that, or if the cuts have already been made and the pt test is the final test.

Seems to me like the ones who are still in the running are all getting letters to report for the Interim Phys. because like I said, my husband just went down for his med/psych today, but he also got his letter today, which was dated 5/1 and they wouldn't have had any idea if he would pass/fail the med/psych today. So it seems like they'll be making more cuts after the next physical test.

I talked to my BI yesterday and everyone will get a letter and the cuts will be made after the PT. I haven't gotten mine yet either so it will come or it got lost in the mail and I'll just have to call and find out what the date and time are.
