Excise hiring process 2008

How many officers are present doing the board interview? How long is the interview? How many questions or what types of questions do they ask?

I received my application about a week ago, and I would estimate there are about 200 people who passed the physical abilities tests.

When I interviewed in late 05'-I had 4 officers on my panel that asked 4 questions each. The interview was timed,tape recorded, and video taped.

does anyone know how much importance they put on College or prior experience? I am having the college send my transcripts and proof of degree in a certified letter but I didnt know how much they really rely on that stuff. Most of the other Agencies I have applied for seem to have some people picked out already before the process begins.

In the last process half of the 12 hired were already police officers. In the process I went thru in 05' for the 06' excise academy, 28 were hired with I think at least 6 or 7 were police officers. Just make sur u have a strong interview and have clean background. (Your chances should be pretty good) I feel that I rushed my initial inteview and thats what hurt me. Because I did pass the bq's an had the final interview w/ the superintendant. I was 1 of 16 not picked.........we were kept for 3 weeks on the alt list-than it expired when their academy started.

They wont say. Apparently they're going to decide when the budget is figured out in the spring.

Does anyone know if there is a separate authorization form that LEO's have to fill out for internal affairs records, or is it just the 8 included? It says on the signature page that you have to fill out the 8 and then the next item says the LEO internal affairs authorization.

I would also like to know the answer for this. I cannot find any form to authorize the release of LEO internal affairs.

I would assume that you would get that from your department?

B-LOVE -The process I went thru in late 05' for 06 Excise academy took over 6 months.
