Age Limits and Indiana Law Enforcement

Hi guys,
CO with BOP, former police officer in Georgia, former SF/USAF.

I'm looking into agencies in Indiana but I'm running into age limits...35 yo, usually. From my recollection, most of them are city departments.

Are there agencies, such as county sheriffs offices, that have no age limits?
Most depts. in GA didn't have them. We had guys in the academy that were 40+. I'm 35 and in great shape.

I'm from Indy and I'd like to get back home.

Any advice helps.

I feel for ya Brother, I'm 36 with Police experience and now I'm even too old to apply at city Police Depts. Most County Depts. don't have age limits, ISP raised there age limit to 40, and so other then that its University Police, County, or small towns w/o Police and FIRE PERF. It's hard to find a town because its the end of the year, most towns just now received their budgets for 2008, and most agencies are holding off until the beginning of the year.

Age limit is 36, if the University PD is in 1977 PERF. Some are and some aren't.

Not true, some counties DO have age limits. Mine for example, is just like a city PERF, you can't have reached your 36th birthday.
