Commentators saying the August/September class canceled and nothing on the board the rest of the year. Three-hundred retirements and under one-hundred fifty hires for the year.

I got to agree with the other guy too, my checks when I was in the academy said City of Chicago. Unless the Feds give money to the city and the city pays the recruits, but honestly I always thought it was 100% city.

I thought my 31 month wait so far to get hired was a long time, I guess I better smile and prepare to wait another 6 months to a year. So glad I want to be a Chicago cop.

i am going to be in the metro class at the chicago police academy starting august 25th. does this affect us in any way? i havent gotten a call from my department yet saying otherwise, so im guessing its not? i am praying its not bc i need to go this month and start already.
