  • Over 35/Statute Help

All, I am starting into Law Enforcement a little later in life - 37. I am finding alot of departments have the following requirement, which seems to limit me. Can anybody explain the statute exemption? What dictates the exemption?

"Must be 21 years of age at the time of application, and less than 35 years of age at the time of application and at such time as the initial eligibility list is established, except as otherwise determined by State Statute"

    thanks
    Rob

You have 7 days left for Will County. Hopefully any college transcripts you'll need are within driving distance. Good Luck.

BTW. is just me noticing because I'm getting older or are there more "thirty-somethings" these days looking at police work?
