  • CPD Tactical units?

Ive been out of the country for a year so I was wondering. Does CPD officially have any tactical units anymore(HBT,SWAT,SOS, Ect.)? I heard while I was gone there were some changes. Does anyone know?

I thought everyone renamed SWAT to SRT as it sounded more "politically correct"?

Tac Units are plainclothes patrol that work out of Districts. HBT was renamed SWAT a while ago (and was under SOS, though they dumped the most qualified of the SWAT guys to Districts), SOS is a memory and TRU is somewhat like SOS, only with a Lot of people with little time on the job and all are in uniform..

When there is a scandal in our Dept. , they tend to throw out the baby with the bathwater. Scandals caused the closing of a Det. Area as if it never existed (The "Real" Area 3), getting rid of a rank (Gang Specialist), making Youth Officers Detectives (as they could not get anyone to stay a Y/O), and disbanding SOS (formerly Gangs West/So./No., SOG, aka Task Force).

              Welcome to CPD!

It is a little difficult to pick up the Sun Times in downtown Baghdad.

Well, that will explain it then, but with the way the media is, I'm surprised it STILL didn't make it overseas when they pick on CPD...LOL!!! OK, check out the Second City Cop website or do a search on the Scum-Times or Tribune websites and you'll turn up all the scandal, etc. around it. WAY too much to try to type or explain here.
