    I was in some small town down in Central Illinois and saw some sweet lookin' Tahoes. LED Lights, sweet graphics....

    Cannot remember the town name, but those things got to guzzle gas.

Too bad we'll never see them in the CPD.

    I know the ones we have are 6 cyl. They make the 8 cyl Hemi's. It all depends on the police package that you get. Our commanders drive them right now. Our sgt's drive the magnums.

    So what of it. If you're in fact a (cough) LE dispatcher(highly unlikely by the tone of your post) you should know better. Sorry, but you'll not find the sympathy you're searching for here...move along youngster.

    And for all you know, could've been another squad car who had previously written you (secretly) and the squad car that told you to move was just passing through.

    Pretty much answered your own question right here...

    Possibly there was a fire hydrant and he didn't want to sit there forever...

    Heavy traffic and felt his safety was in jeopardy....

    Maybe he thought you would make a huge scene.....

    He was out of citations....

    Just got dispatched to another call....

    Officers were busy so he couldn't be tied up with you....

    Didn't feel like backing up traffic....

    I think people misunderstood me. I have no problem with the ticket. I was in a no parking zone and yes, I deserved ticket which I will pay no problem. I was in the wrong. My problem was with the officer letting me drive away thinking everything was ok. If he wanted to give me a ticket he should have given it to me right there. Right on, I've been impounded twice messing with meters where you're not supposed to park at from 4-6pm...and having the luck of having a class which went from 3-3:50pm (when the prof. decided to end on time!). Both times it had to have been no later than 4:05pm and my car was already on the bed of the tow truck. Now I just go to school super early, find a spot a couple of blocks away, and walk. Another thing I've learned regarding parking tickets, pay the damn thing A.S.A.P. because sitting around being upset and refusing to pay it knowing you have no believable defense is a money-waster.

    Don't have "mailers." The bad part is that by the time you got the notice in the mail, the fine had gone up. They should have handed you the parker, or slapped it on your car. Too bad it's your word against theirs.

    I agree with everyone, I have had parking tickets many times and I think it sucks. Especially the tickets when I know I am not at fault (street cleaning and no sign). It sucks but you admitted being wrong and you must pay now. Here is a suggestion, contest it and go to court, you might beat the case. I know I pay all my tickets and the one's I am innocent of I end up paying, but the other one's I am actually guilty of I get off on;
    I went to court for no having a city sticker. I bought one and told the judge that I was going to bring thee proof, he rescheduled my hearing and I did not show up and later found out it was dismissed. All I am saying is that you admiot to the wrong, so you must pay consequences.
