I called the Investigations department again to confirm something with my app and they said it’s being processed you’ll hear from us is it possible something as small as an unpaid parking ticket could be the issue I got a notice in the mail today about an unpaid Chicago parking ticket

Does anyone know if CPD is hosting the Pre-Power Prep Sessions this month? on their website it just shows dates for last month?

In October, CPD does power tests for sworn officers for a mini bonus. Prep sessions will probably resume in November.

It's been 2 weeks since my polygraph exam and haven't heard anything yet. How long after polygraph exam you heard back from the investigator? Days are really long for me now...

Still waiting for a interview date or poly date they seem to be dragging I’ve already put several applications to varying departments

After the poly is usually the longest to hear back from. Your file awaits for a background investigator while they finish other people's background investigation. It can take months. It goes by faster if you have special preference like military or family already in CPD.

I even submitted my DD214 but I think they are super disorganized because last time I called they asked if I had my transcript submitted or my phq both having been submitted for awhile now

So people have a final power test this weekend, so it usually means there's a class around the corner. My guess is either mid or late November.

Waiting for the investigator to contact me. I had my polygraph exam almost 3 weeks ago.

Well, the good news is you passed the poly, they usually notify people within a week if they the fail. It might take a while for a background investigator to pick up your file, but after that, it goes by fast. Just keep your documents up to date.

I had my poly in October 2019, then I was contacted by February 2020. This was back when they had more applicants, so it might go by faster now.

I guess CPD lost both of my transcripts that I submitted and that’s the reason they haven’t been contacting me just submitted them again let’s see where this goes

Had you taken a actual copy the day of Processing? I took a hard copy which they made put in our " File" but I also Submitted a copy online I was part of the 10/02/2021 Processing day

I submitted it through the online portal when I did my PHQ and a hard copy on my in processing day 07/31

Did you find out because you called them or they called you? Regardless, CPD is a joke. If possible, get hired anywhere else.

I had to call them it was my fourth time calling in the past two months but I’ve applied to multiple agencies around my house I just want to be the police and that I don’t have a dream department but I figured CPD would be easier since I already reside in Chicago

06/2019 took CPD exam
07/2019 did PHQ/Power
08/2019 did Kentech background check
12/2019 did polygraph
07/2021 got in touch with CPD BI after contacting them then they contacted me..
08/2021 did the second polygraph because the first expired...

After this I wouldn't be surprised if i'm just doing polygraphs on a yearly basis...
