Campton Hills, IL

Does anyone know about Campton Hills, IL, a new town that was just annexed outside of St. Charles, IL? I know that they are looking for a Police Chief and board, but does any one know if they will be testing for officers?

It says right on their homepage:

"The Village of Campton Hills is now accepting applications for a Police Chief and Village Officers. You can either Contact Us online with your information or call us at 630 584-5700."

They are probably looking for people who are already sworn. That is how it usually works with newly incorporated towns. However, it would not hurt to give them a call.

I believe they want a Chief and 3 full-time offiers to start. As with almost all small towns, new or old, they will most likely be supplementing their force with quite a few part-timers. Its an easy way in to getting a full-time position later too.
