I attended as part of Class 17-01. Provided nothing has changed, the bench press is done via machine with two separate hand bars you press directly upwards. The sit ups and sit and reach are done in the mat room and you'll do the run on an outdoor track (if summer) or an indoor track (if winter but 15 laps now).

    Good luck!

If you train with freeweights, you will be ok with just about any machine out there. Trust me, I had to pump 300lbs when I got hired. It's not as hard as you think. Just train train train, and rep rep rep. You'll be ok.

I was just wondering if anyone recently attended this Academy recently? I was wondering how their POWER test was conducted with the bench press? If they used a machine or free weights? if It was a machine what kind of machine as all bench press machines I come across have different grips and locations? Any help would be highly appreciated.
