I just passed the polygraph this this past Saturday does anybody know how soon The Next Step will be and what it is it going to be?

dbland128# I received that same call, they were accurate to sending out my background to cpd on the day they said they would. This was about 3 weeks ago, hopefully we'll hear something soon. I'm at the same process where you are now. Have you heard anything about how long it's going to take for us to do the next steps?

Are you still waiting the the FTP an psych test email? . Some of my references were called yesterday from the investigator. But still have not received any further details

Yes I'm still waiting for those emails to come in so I can go on to the next process, about 3 to 4 weeks ago my background was completed and submitted to CPD. All I'm waiting to do is hear something about the final physical test and the psych exam.

Soooo....I applied in 2016 *gasp* lol... I did IPT (Pased)...Poly, Kentech BI and Home Interview and then NOTHING...For 3 YEARS nothing!!... I’ve moved on took up professional wrestling and work on TV Shows as private security...BUT today....An Officer from CPD BI HR emailed me today saying they have reviewed my 2016 application and that if I’m still interested to contact them ASAP to discuss my application and status!!!.... Anybody else get something like this?...or know someone who did?...or can shed light on what this means?

How long after the Pollygraph are people waiting to take the psychological exam/interview? Does anyone know the time length trend?

I think the next step is a background investigator should call you and let you know if he/she has sent your file up to his supervisors to get it approve and than HR gets a hold of it and you should receive a FPT notice with a psych the following day. I’m in the same situation as you.

I got an email last week stating that my background file was submitted to CPD. So far I haven't heard anything since, when was your file submitted?

Late April my file from kentech was submitted to cpd, Polygraph early May, two weeks after was contacted by my CPD investigator and asked for some information and then told me that my file will be submitted for final approval to his supervisor.

We have a similar time line, I haven't received any word from CPD yet but they barely got my file last Wednesday. I hope to hear something from them soon. Im looking forward to be being offered the second physical test and phycological exam.

For the people who had their home interview did the back ground investigator email you when they submitted your file to CPD?
My investigator told me the date when he had to send it over but never received an email.

*Home interview was 4/06* I actually received two emails from Kentech. The first one was received a few days prior to my polygraph and looked a like a standard confirmation email telling me my BI report was submitted. The second email was received today (took my poly on Friday 5/24) and was from an actual Kentech Consultant confirming submission to the CPD.

I got two emails from them as well, it was explained to me by them that they are backed up with backgrounds so they submitted the background and week ago then later the court attachments and more evidence today. I was reassured that my background as of today is now complete in submitted

Got my FPT and Psych written notice. Anyone else here take the written Psych written exam on a Sunday?

Yea how it worked for me was
saturday FPT
sunday written psych
Monday oral psych ( you schedule it online, on Saturday they will give you the info to schedule)
Tuesday Medical Exam

Not sure I do know the fastest anyone has gotten in the academy was at least 6 months from any written exam. I’m wondering how much applicants went to the May2019 exam. From recent post people are getting called back from the 2016 exam dates to see if they are still interested.

Do you have any red flags? Any preference? Any failed physical test? paperwork they needed to be turned in? Really high lottery number? Did you answer all phone calls from a 312 or scam? Have you contacted HR to see status? College credits in order? Hows ur credit score? Any traffic tickets/arrested? Also noticed you mentioned you failed a psych evaluation did they give you a reason why?

I’m curious aswell why 2017list is still waiting.

Congrats, take the guarantee then after probation apply to the city if you're still interested. Chicago will definitely pick you up especially if you have experience already.

BuyYouASprite Congrats on that! It's not that uncommon but just keep in mind that CPD makes everyone go through their academy so you would have to do a 6+ month academy. Be careful not to mess up something you already have. CPD isn't going anywhere. Don't take anything for granted and good luck.
