Anyone here work for Elgin?

I currently work for another pd and just took the Elgin test, I need a change! Anyways, was wondering what firearm you are issued and/or if there is an approved list that the officer can purchase off of? If there is a list, what's on it? I've been carrying a Glock 21 for the past 5 years and would like to know if I'm in for a change. Thanks.

I went to the academy with a guy from Elgin, if I remember correctly he was issued a Glock 22. I'm not sure if he had the option to carry something else.

Your are issued a S&W 45...and have to carry the issued weapon

Thanks. Hoping for the Glock (if I get hired)....not a very big Smith fan, unless it's an M&P, those are pretty sweet.
