Well, one of my references called and told me that the BI contacted him via email. My reference stated that the BI said that I had a good personality and good character, however, he does not know if I have the character to be LE. How should I take this and does this mean my chances have just gone down hill?

I would take it as he know your personal reference is going to say your a good guy, u put him down as a reference, but he wants to hear "Why he thinks you will make a good LE" so tell your ref to type back something good!

I agree with grunt. I wouldn't worry about it. I don't really think they can disqualify you for that any way. i thought their job was to make sure you were an okay person, which obviously you are. don't sweat it.

The reference did type a good reply stating things that I have done that have influenced him and others in a positive way. He did what you hope a reference will do.
