They said with my number it could take a while. Right now, no news is good news. My med was tricky in that I discovered some hearing loss...I'm 34. But the specialist said I wasn't really a candidate for hearing aids since I was not experiencing any issues with my hearing (other than when taking the test...and I was able to pass their speech repeating tests flawlessly.) I am waiting to hear (pun intended) if the CPD is going to accept my hearing tests. If they don't, I'll have the option of retaking the test with hearing aids...

Regarding my psych test...I did not get the same outrageously positive feedback others got. It seemed pretty standard. Although, some of my answers sounded different when they repeated them back to me. (i.e. So sometimes you feel like punching people?...Yes, sometimes I do feel like it...but I never do. My last physical altercation was in fifth grade.) So, just playing the waiting game. One more thing, thank you to everyone that has been posting about their experiences, it has made the waiting a little easier.

True about everyone posting their experience, it makes things a bit easier and tells us all how far along we are. My # is in the 1800's and im yet to receive any letter from a BI. I had my Psych in Mid Feb and my Med is in mid Apr. Sometimes I feel like im the only one who thinks about this but when I visit these forums it does make me feel a lot better I'm not the only one concerned. Good luck to all

I had both my med and psych in jan. I received paper work about my medical in mid/late feb. that said I was cleared for duty. no word at all from a BI (phone or letter). My number is above 3000. To answer someone's earlier question there were no tests in 2005 and other threads on here have said any Nov 2004 testers left are in a 4-2-07 class. Hoping to hear from a BI soon.

I'm just glad that I took the test in Feb! If we all waited 8months for the results, this is that bad compared to the people who took the test in jun and so on!

Yes they are sending out letters with your offical results. I have not received mine yet, but I have heard of a few people who have....normally 4-5 weeks after your test.

Take it for what it is. Word at the academy is there will also be a class coming in April 30th. So that makes two classes in April. 50 in each class.

I had my medical exam today (March 7) and my psych Jan 12. I'm number 20XX. I haven't heard a word from my BI yet. When I went in for the psych test they kept me waiting for an hour which I definitely thought was part part of the evaluation! Once I got in the doc finished in under 15 minutes. I asked him if we were done and he said yeah unless there was something else I wanted. No way, the shorter the better. I may also be one of the few people up here hoping it takes a little longer, like October, since I'm trying to finish grad school first.

Actually it's Advocate Sykes Occupational Health that sends you a copy of your "cleared for full and unrestricted duty" letter. Same letter with a brief summary of your medical history gets sent to CPD commanding officer. They also send you a copy of all of your medical test results.

Wow, I was kinda hoping that since they sent out the Nov. '06 testers results so quick, they were moving through people pretty fast. But that doesn't seem to be the case.

I wonder how many people drop out because the process is so long. But that's what happens when you have thousands of people who apply. But don't a lot of people apply and never even bother taking the written? That would seem like a waste of time and money to me.

By time they get to us (August Exam) I would imagine there are going to be a lot people that are not going to continue. We had about 860 pass, so its going to be interesting to say the least. I still haven't received anything about the POWER test yet, so I know its going to be a long, long wait. Good luck and best wishes to everyone
